1. HOW TO ENTER
a. The ARSENIO HALL WATCH & WIN contest
will begin on Monday, November 4th at 10pm and end on Friday, November 15th at 11:59pm.
b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following
method(s): Watch The Arsenio Hall Show M-F between 10pm and 11pm starting Monday, November 4th through Friday, November 15th. Log on to www.thecwaustin.com, click on the contest tab and go to the Arsenio Hall Watch & Win contest. Each day you will answer a trivia question about that night's episode as part of the contest submission
form. Each correct answer will be entered
into the drawing. You may only enter once per day.
c. The Station is not responsible for Internet transmission errors,
illegible entries, service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment
malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent
transmitting his/her entry.
d. Only one entry per person per day.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The contest is open to all KNVA viewers who are 18 years of age or
older and who legally reside in the central Texas DMA area. Employees of
KNVA (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries,
and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating
sponsors/promotional partners, other television stations in the Austin
metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or
Households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all
applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where
prohibited.
b. Winner can not have won a prize from KNVA in the last 6 months. Winner must be 18 years of age or older.
c. Entrants MUST completely fill out all fields of the submission form.
3. PRIZES
a. One winner will receive a trip for 2 to Los Angeles to view a live taping of The Arsenio Hall Show. The winner will receive a travel certificate courtesy of Delta Vacations for 2 round trip airfare tickets for a value up to $800 plus $600 to spend on hotel accommodations at the hotel of the winner’s choice for a minimum of 2 nights. If booking exceeds certificate value, recipient is responsible for the remaining balance and must be paid in full at time of booking. Travel must be booked by December 31, 2013 and travel must be completed by January 31, 2014. Winner must agree to the terms listed on the Delta Vacations travel certificate.
b. The winner must be available to travel on the dates determined by the station. Dates of travel are January 16th - January 18th, 2014. The date for The Arsenio Hall Show taping is January 16th. If the winner cannot travel on determined dates, then the winner forfeits the prize and an alternate winner will be chosen.
c. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of
the Station at 908 W. MLK Blvd. The Station is not responsible for the
safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
d. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes,
except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes
of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the
item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other
expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. One (1) winner will be drawn from all correct entries on Monday, November 18th at approximately 10am.
c. ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER OF CORRECT ENTRIES RECEIVED.
d. Winners must execute and return any required affidavit of
eligibility and/or liability/publicity release or prize will be
forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen by random drawing. If a
potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the
required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release
within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is
returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the
responsibility of the winners. Winners may be required to sign an IRS
Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, participants agree to have their
name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting
material relating to this contest without additional financial or other
compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming
such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. The Website’s Terms of
Service apply to any online portions of this Contest.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in
its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel
companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the
Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated
corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees,
agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all
claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or
participation in the contest.
d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the
contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value,
which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances
beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related
event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station
reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the
contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
e. Failure to comply with the contest rules or the Station’s website
Terms of Service may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at
the discretion of the Station.
f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors
in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or
in the announcement of a prize.
g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when
complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio
of KNVA 908 W. MLK Jr Blvd, Austin, TX 78701
